Stephanie Earple the Montreal knitwear designer has just published another gorgeous sweater. Clade is a classy top down yoke sweater that uses a variation on a smock stitch. The result is luxurious top for a special occasion. I love the combination of kidsilk base and a variegated silk yarn smock stitch. The possible combinations are endless. As soon as we heard from Stephanie that this pattern would be published and it used our silk fingering we got to work dyeing up beautiful combinations. We have just added some incredibly luxurious Kidsilk Lace in fun and popular speckled colourways. Soft and light as a cloud, the silk gleaming through the haze of mohair this yarn epitomizes luxury. One of my favourite projects that would work perfectly for this yarn is Birds of a Feather a gorgeous shawl by Andrea Mowry. Another shawl pattern I have in my Ravelry queue is Down by the River by Virginia Sattler Reimer. All that is needed is one skein of a nice variegated fingering weight yarn like Cobalt and Rust with one of Fen in Kidsilk.One pattern I will definitely be knitting this...
